They're back from wherever they were and have three new pickup sets for the PAF tone curious out there. The Bare Knuckle "The Mules" from England (played in two different guitars) and the Sigil "Holy Grail" sets from Canada. Sigil doesn't just use vintage spec wire on them, he actually uses NOS wire from 1958 and '59 wound accordingly on the "58 LTD" and "59 LTD". Can you hear the difference? How about with covers on or off? Sounds like fun so let's get going then, but not without a stern warning - these guys like to talk about guitars and pickups A LOT and it seems that nothing can stop them, as if you wanted to anyway.

Jason Lollar of pickup winding fame comes to The Doug and Pat Show to straighten these two out and also talk about some of his own pickups and philosophy. They put the new "Staple" pickup, "Gold Foil" Pickup and Lollar version of the PAF humbucking, "The Imperial" through the D&P demo machine with some interesting results. It's intense, it's exciting, it's informative, or are we all just dreaming?

Doug and Pat check out some of the higher priced PAF type humbucking pickups in their on going quest for truth through tone.
